ABOUT THE MERCHANTS ASSOCIATION OF OAK RIDGE
MAOR is a non-profit organization led by an elected slate of five officers and five directors. Our members, which represent a diverse group of over 75 local businesses located in and near the Oak Ridge community, include bankers, restaurant owners, landscapers and many other business and organizational professionals (see the MEET OUR MEMBERS tab for a complete directory of member businesses/organizations).
Our association’s slogan is a simple one – “Business in one with community” – and we take it to heart. Since our inception, MAOR has earned a reputation for sponsoring events that unite the commercial and residential residents within and surrounding the Oak Ridge community. Throughout the year our members donate thousands of hours of their time to ensure that these events are well organized, enjoyable and successful (see SPONSORED EVENTS tab for more details). As a result of our sponsored events we are financially self-sufficient, and are also able to support other non-profit organizations such as the Oak Ridge Youth Association and Oak Ridge Military Academy.
As part of our community outreach, MAOR members also participate in the Adopt A Highway program and an annual Angel Tree project at Christmas.
MAOR members reap the rewards of networking opportunities, support from fellow business professionals, educational and professional enrichment and the satisfaction of helping promote a sense of community within the town of Oak Ridge.

From 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. for Meet and Greet; 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. for our business meeting
