Run the Ridge Glow Run Update:  Update provided by Phillip Hanks.  Organizer Andy Michels is putting together the 10th annual Run the Ridge event and the 2nd annual Glow Run.  The course will be through the woods and around the park sidewalk - at Oak Ridge Town Park on Friday night June 1st.  Registration will begin at 7:00 PM.  Additional volunteers are still needed.   Tee shirts will be free at check-in for runners that pre-registered online on MOR’s website.  Headlamps and glow sticks have been ordered and will be available for sale at the event.  Next Step Ministry will be the beneficiary of this year’s run.  Madeline Busch gave a brief overview of Next Step’s services as providing food, shelter, and other services for women in transition from abusive relationships.

RidgeFest Update:  Update provided by Phillip Hanks for Randy Floss who was out of town.  Everything is on track but a few volunteers are still needed (see Randy Floss) for this year’s RidgeFest running May 31st – June 2nd. Sponsorships are sold out. However, a handful of “Supporter level” opportunities remain at $100. Vestal Buick GMC is this year’s main sponsor at the Kryptonite Level.  There will be several additional food trucks this year on Friday and Saturday.  The Merchant tent area will be at the entry near the carnival rides.  Summit Church will have a teen takeover targeted especially for teens.  A large car show, featuring EuroHaus  & Platinum Sponsor - Foreign Cars Italia, will be on Friday. There will be a climbing wall and dunk tank on Saturday.  Fireworks, brought to you by the Town of Oak Ridge, will conclude the event Saturday night.  Music and carnival rides start up again following fireworks to mitigate traffic congestion.

Treasurer Report:  Update provided by Phillip Hanks for Patti Stokes.  No major changes.  A couple sponsorships for RidgeFest are still due.

The scholarship committee will review applications over the summer and conduct finalist interviews at the beginning of the fall term.  The award will be presented at Parade Day in September.   This is the first scholarship offered to ORMA and is an extension of MOR’s community outreach.
