August 2017 Membership Meeting

 8:15am - Meeting was called to order by David Kiddy.

News: No new members this month. Great exposure from the MOR sponsored events has generated new membership opportunities and we look forward to continuing to do so. ORMA up-coming Homecoming Golf Tournament (Oct.20th) George McClellan discussed Hiking the Mountain to Sea Trail.

Dave Kiddy made the motion to approve minutes – seconded by George McClellan and Todd Harmon

Current board members recognized as well as past presidents.

Member introductions.

Business on TAP for August was hosted by ORMA. They shared about their up-coming homecoming golf tournament as well as sponsorship opportunities. The upcoming TAP will be held on September 12th hosted by Susan Greeson - The Law Offices of Susan P. Greeson, P.L.L.C.

Angel Fuller discussed the Great Pumpkin Event – last weekend of October. Sponsorship opportunities available, prize donations needed as well as volunteers needed. Tables are free to MOR members, $75.00 table cost for non-members or new membership purchase. Contact DeDe Cunningham for table space or setup. Super Hero and Princess theme is being promoted this year.

Snap Fitness – promoting Free Fitness Saturdays on the 2nd Saturday of the month from 10am to 12pm.

Explore Historic Oak Ridge update. Booklet to feature all of the historic properties that will participate in the event is to be released the week before the event takes place by NWO.

Countryside will be hosting a memory workshop on August 24th at 6:00pm at the Village at Countryside. Healthy Brain, Healthy Living.

Kawanis Club Golf Tournament 8:30am at Pine Knolls on September 23rd. Sponsorship opportunities available as well as team space.

Next Step Ministries and Cocktail Lounge Breathe (Kernersville) – Promoting their “Take a Seat for Charity” event on September 30th at 6:00pm. Sponsorship opportunities available.

Next Step Ministries thanked Forbis and Dick for recent donations.
